How Universal Pictures brought Bob Odenkirk and Nobody 2 to action-loving Fortnite gamers

THE CHALLENGE:

Universal Pictures aimed to cut through a crowded blockbuster season and position Nobody 2 as an unmissable, must-see release. The mission: generate FOMO and excitement directly inside Fortnite, without the cost, time, and hassle of building a new custom map.

OUR SOLUTION:

By partnering with Fortnite’s most action-packed and widely played map, Speed Realistics 2v2 , the campaign delivered a cinematic experience that dropped Nobody 2 straight into players’ hands.

At the center was Hollywood actor Bob Odenkirk. An NPC version of his character, Hutch Mansell, was integrated into the map.

Through a close collaboration with the creative agency and Odenkirk himself, Hutch’s likeness and voice came alive in-game, spanning interactions, cinematic trailers, and branded cosmetics, injecting Nobody 2 intensity into the Fortnite universe.
