So, how does Overwolf work?

Launch Overwolf and start your game. Once you are in game, simply move the mouse cursor above Overwolf widgets to control them. If no cursor is available, for example when playing a First Person Shooter, hit Shift+F1 to control Overwolf, and Shift+F2 to show/hide Overwolf. You can configure your own personal hotkeys in the settings window.

How do I add my friends to Overwolf’s Skype widget?

You don't need to! Every friend you have on your Skype buddy list will be automatically displayed in Overwolf. If you want to add a new friend, simply add a friend via Skype.

How do I report errors?

Click on the tool wrench icon in order to open the settings window. On the "General" tab, click on the "Found a bug? please let us know" link. Add your comments, and make sure the option to "Include log files with my report" is checked. Click on the "Send" Button and… that's it. You can also send us an email to support@overwolf.com. Thank you for helping us improve Overwolf!

How to update Overwolf?

Overwolf will update itself automatically so you can concentrate on what matters most - playing your favorite games. When Overwolf finds a new update it will download it silently in the background. The update will be installed on the next time you launch Overwolf.

Are there plans to integrate TS3 into Overwolf?

Yes. We're working hard to bring your favorite voice app into your favorite games. Stay tuned ;)

What are Overwolf’s features?

Overwolf features include a vast array of native and web apps for hardcore and casual gamers alike. With Overwolf you can use Facebook or Skype in-game, browse the web, take screenshots and much more… Download Overwolf to find out!

Overwolf can't connect to Skype. What can I do?

Please go to Skype "Tools" > "Options" > "Advanced" > "Manage other programs' access to Skype" (at the bottom) > choose "Overwolf.exe" > click "Change" and make sure Overwolf is allowed.

Why do I need to enter my Facebook credentials in the Facebook widget?

Like using Facebook's website, getting your feeds or posting screenshots and status updates requires logging in. To ensure your privacy, this is done using Facebook independent login process, so your credentials are as safe as they normally are, when you login to Facebook's website.

I'm hitting Shfit+F1 and Shfit+F2 while I'm in a game but Overwolf doesn't show. Why?

Make sure that your game is in our supported games list. If you are not sure or Overwolf still doesn't work – contact us at team@overwolf.com and we would be happy to assist you!

When I click the Skype button I get a message asking me to authorize Overwolf's Skype widget. Why?

Overwolf offers the best voice communication solution in game using Skype. To make sure Overwolf is not a malware, Skype is asking you to authorize the communication with Overwolf. This has to be approved in order to use Skype in-game via Overwolf.

What is Overwolf?

Overwolf is a FREE software client which brings your life into your games. It seamlessly integrates social media tools like Facebook, Twitter, Skype or MSN Messenger in order to help you share game experiences and connect with your friends while playing.

What are Overwolf's system requirements?

  • Operating System: Windows 7, Vista or XP. (Mac users, we are working on it).
  • 50MB on your hard drive.
  • In-game support: DirectX9, DirectX11.
  • Microsoft .Net 3.5 SP1.
  • CPU / RAM: If your computer runs your game, it will run Overwolf with it.

Our goal is to build Overwolf to run efficiently on your CPU and Video card. If your PC runs a game perfectly, it should easily support Overwolf. Still, if you encounter performance issues please write to us at support@overwolf.com and we would do our best to assist you.
